HOW MANY KINDS OF YOGA DO YOU KNOW? NONE, OR MAYBE A DOZEN. SO, IN THE END, WHAT IS YOGA ?
First of all, Yoga is a lifestyle. A way of life that is guided through the Yogis Bible “The Sutras of Patanjali.” It states that it is necessary to live by respecting others, compassion and love, while developing a personal practice through asanas (postures in Sanskrit), pranayama (breath techniques) and meditation. The SoHam Studio wants to reveal this philosophy by offering classes that go “hand in hand” with the “Genevan” lifestyle.
Hatha, Vinyasa, Acro-Yoga, Ashtanga, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, Dharma Mittra… We combined them all for you. Ohhh yes! But how? We can’t tell you everything! Soham’s owner and Yoga teacher Soraya, is a combat sport enthusiast, who began her discovery of Yoga through prana (energy), breathing and meditation. The practice of asanas came later, in Rio de Janeiro and in Costa Rica, where she got certified by the Yoga Alliance. Now, Soraya offers a class mixing all that she learned in the course of her training, meetings, past students and overall journey so far

It’s just Y-O-G-A, simply. No particular type, but rather an experience, knowledge, energy and passion. Soraya adapts her class as it flows, and builds it “in the moment.”
FIERCE GRACE with Deborah
A mix between Hatha, Power and Ashtanga. In one word: INTENSE. The class is clocked by Yin & Yang posture to balance mind, body, and soul. So’SoHam!
ASHTANGA with Selena
A series of postures, always identical, which we chain with flow and given rhythm by the breath. A dynamic, ideal Yoga to tone up your body and release your mind.
STRALA with Torja
The Strala method invites you to move. You’ll never stay static in a given posture: in downward-facing dog, you’ll move the hips, the knees, the heels; in cobra, you’ll move the shoulders and arms. In 3 words: strength, balance and consciousness.
KUNDALINI with Cynthia
Frequently called “Yoga of Awareness,” Kundalini works on your body, mind and soul. The practice is a succession of postures, breathing techniques, mudras, chants and meditation. A revitalizing and energizing class!
